Humans
Humans
Humans are the most numerous people in modern Aeloria and the dominant population of Auralis, Kassaryn, and the Rynnvale basin. They farm the continent’s breadbasket, run many of its courts, crew its ships, fill its armies, staff its ministries, and crowd its lecture halls.

Humans are the most numerous people in modern Aeloria and the dominant population of Auralis, Kassaryn, and the Rynnvale basin. They farm the continent’s breadbasket, run many of its courts, crew its ships, fill its armies, staff its ministries, and crowd its lecture halls.
Human cultures vary widely. A vineyard family from the Rynnvale, a cliffside merchant from Kassaryn, a Concord court clerk, a frontier scout from the Greyfold, and a noble student from Crownward may technically share ancestry but have little else in common.
In Auralis, humans tend to be associated with ambition and institution-building. They founded the city, shaped the Concord, built the Council system, codified much of modern law, and often see themselves as stewards of Aeloria’s future. Whether everyone else agrees is another matter.
Humans at the Grand Scholarium
Human students are everywhere at the Scholarium. Some are noble heirs expected to become ministers, magistrates, officers, or patrons. Others are scholarship students from farming villages or urban trade families who fought for every exam score that got them admitted.
Human characters fit especially well as:
- legal scholars,
- arcane theorists,
- political students,
- field researchers,
- inventors,
- duelists,
- historians,
- military cadets,
- journalists or broadsheet writers,
- or anyone trying to climb Aeloria’s social ladder.
Common Human Pressures
A human student may be asked:
- Which family, village, guild, court, or patron expects something from you?
- Are you from polished Auralis, loud Kassaryn, rural Rynnvale, the misty Greyfold, or somewhere stranger?
- Are you trying to preserve the Concord’s order, reform it, profit from it, or escape it?
