Outsiders sometimes mistake halfling practicality for simplicity. This is a dangerous error.
Halfling communities value memory, reciprocity, food, names, favors, routes, ledgers, weather, family, and knowing who said what three years ago after two cups of pear brandy. In a continent run by grain, river trade, permits, and reputation, that kind of memory is power.

They may be underestimated in dueling halls or high theory lectures, then quietly outperform everyone when the problem involves logistics, medicine, agriculture, fieldwork, contracts, or people.
