The Kajeet are Teradill’s established Tabaxi people. They use the published 5e Tabaxi rules in D&D Beyond; Kajeet is a setting name and culture, not a custom mechanical species.
Kajeet are prominent in Kassaryn and among merchant fleets. Their ancestors came from desert coasts beyond Aeloria and became deeply integrated into Kassaryni trade. Kajeet culture values freedom, adaptability, rhythm, oral poetry, navigation, and the sanctity of a completed bargain. A deal made in good faith is a kind of oath; betrayal of contract is a profound dishonor.
Kajeet at the Grand Scholarium
Kajeet students often arrive through merchant-house sponsorship, maritime scholarship, diplomatic exchange, or personal curiosity. They fit naturally into Celestial Cartography, trade law, Aetheric Resonance, history, journalism, and fields that reward movement, observation, memory, and social agility.

- Are you connected to Kassaryn, a merchant fleet, or a more distant homeland?
- What promise, bargain, or route shaped your family?
- Do Auralian classmates treat you as a scholar, foreign curiosity, navigator, or all three?
Other Published Peoples
The guide focuses on the ten core 5.5e species plus the approved Kajeet/Tabaxi and Firbolg options. Other published D&D Beyond species may exist in Teradill, but they are uncommon and require DM approval plus a clear cultural or regional placement.
Possible origins include foreign exchange, diplomatic wardship, merchant-house sponsorship, a rare local enclave, migration through Kassaryn, or connection to a Scholarium expedition. Approval does not automatically require custom mechanics: use a published D&D Beyond species entry whenever possible.
